Darrell Vickers
Darrell Vickers is a seasoned creative producer and writer based in Toronto, Ontario, with a career that spans more than four decades across television, film, and comedy. Darrell brings unmatched experience in series creation, comedy development, showrunning, and script doctoring to projects across North America and Europe.
As the former head writer for The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson, Darrell was one half of the writing duo Nicholls and Vickers—a partnership that left a lasting impact on American late-night television. His writing credits include work for George Carlin, CBS, NBC, FOX, ABC, Disney, Nickelodeon, USA Network, Warner Brothers, Paramount, and every major Canadian broadcaster, including CBC, CTV, and Global.
Over the years, Darrell has developed and executive produced numerous original series and pilots for major networks and studios, including during a prolific stint at Warner Brothers. He has worked alongside Hollywood legends such as Faye Dunaway, George Carlin, Courtney Cox, Teri Garr, Bronson Pinchot, Larry Hagman, and Robert Urich, demonstrating a versatile ability to create content that resonates across genres and demographics.
Currently, Darrell is actively developing half-hour and hour-long live-action series for both domestic and international markets. His slate includes original scripted comedies, dramas, and family-oriented content, along with “Rocketship Bedroom”, a preschool series currently in pilot development, for which he is writing and producing additional creative materials.
